Jelly Belly: A Review of The Mixed Emotions Collection

As you know, I love Jelly Belly Jelly Beans and when I was recently asked again to review their Mixed Emotions Collection, “yes” slipped out of my mouth before my brain had chance to compute what was even being said to me!

So, let me introduce to you Jelly Belly Mixed Emotions Collection, Jelly Belly recognised that Emoji’s are a big part of how we communicate with each other, especially on social media and wanted to bring that to their Jelly Beans. Historically Jelly Belly Beans are all stamped with the Jelly Belly logo on them whereas with the Mixed Emotions Collection, each flavour is stamped with a face to represent a feeling.

Jelly Belly: A Review of The Mixed Emotions Collection

The Mixed Emotions Collection comes in 5 different flavours, each with a corresponding emotion:
Bubble Gum = Love
Berry Blue = Sad
Lemon = Happy
Sour Apple = Playful
Sizzling Cinnamon = Angry

Taste Test:
I will try not to be biased here, as I do like Jelly Belly Jelly Beans; I loved the Berry Blue, Lemon and Sour Apple Flavours, they are fresh, fruity and a bit zingy. Plus the little faces on them are admittedly rather cute! However, my taste buds just don’t like Bubble Gum flavour things and unfortunately it really doesn’t conjure up the emotion of Love for me! I shall confess, I didn’t even test the Sizzling Cinnamon one…I fell foul of Cinnamon sweets when I lived in America (and where I tasted such wrongness for the first time) and so actually the emotion face here is spot on! Sorry, Jelly Belly, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it!

Jelly Belly Mixed Emotions Collection are available in two different sized bags: 28g bag sized for snacking and 60g Grab and Go bag suited for sharing (or perfect for stashing in work desk drawers!

Why not try them for yourself and see what flavour combinations you can come up with? Lemon and Sour Apple was my favourite and I was shown the angry face Sizzling Cinnamon Jelly Belly Mixed Emotion when I didn’t want to share them with my fiancé!
